Traditional Recepies at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin

On the occasion of the Long Night of the Romanian Comics, on the 31st of January, comiXconnection had the initiave of a cookbook containing traditional Romanian recepies. 6 comic artist were asked to illustrate 2 recepies, each. Here are mine:

To celebrate, at the Romanian Cultural Institue in Berlin, there was also an exhibition, traditional Romanian food tasting, live drawing.

The comiXconnection Exhibitions

I recently took part in comiXconnection. It is an international exhibition project in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary and Romania. It focuses on independent comic artists and the way they function within different networks. 

starting from  2013 the exhibition will go on tour. The first exhibition was in June 14 2013, in The Istrian Museum of Contemporary Art, Pula, Croatia.

The second comiXconnection exhibition took place in Ljubljana, Kino Šiška. It lasted from 1.10.2013 untill 11.10.2013.

The Dream Collector (Colecţionarul de Visuri)

Graphic novel, cover and fragments (Nuvelă grafică, copertă şi fragmente).

Începând cu data de 27 septembrie 2008 am început un jurnal de visuri. Acestea, astfel "îndosariate" pe o perioadă de aproape 2 ani au oferit materialul pentru o nuvelă grafică în care accentul este pus pe atmosferă şi partea vizuală, un colaj de fragmente a diferitelor visuri.

Consider visurile ca pe un rezultat al filtrării realităţii înconjurătoare şi a informaţiilor pe care le primim şi la care suntem expuşi zilnic, din partea mass-media dar şi ca rezultat al interacţiunilor interumane şi a altor condiţii. Motive care revin oferă atât o viziune aspura unelor credinţe şi tradiţii rămase în conştiinţa colectivă, cât şi o cale de acces într-o mitologie personală.
